Privacy Policy
AutoAcad assembles NCAAA course files and generates the official Course Report. It is operated by the Software Engineering Department, College of Computing, Umm Al-Qura University. This page describes what the service stores and why.
What we collect
Account information. A username, display name, and optionally an email address. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your email address and basic profile (name and picture) — nothing else from your Google account, and never your Google password.
Course evidence you upload. Course specifications, exam papers, answer sheets, grade sheets, and similar documents. These files routinely contain student names, student ID numbers, and marks. AutoAcad reads them to build the checklist, compute grade distributions, and measure learning-outcome achievement.
Survey responses. Student course-evaluation surveys are collected anonymously. We store a per-device token solely to stop the same device submitting twice; it is not linked to a student identity.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your data, show advertising, or use uploaded course material to train machine-learning models. Original evidence files are never modified — AutoAcad only ever writes new, generated copies.
Where it is stored
Accounts, reports, and survey responses are held in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted in the EU (Paris region). Uploaded files and generated exports are written to the application server's working storage and are not guaranteed to persist across restarts — the practical pattern is to import, do the work, and download in the same session.
AI features
Where you explicitly invoke an AI feature (suggesting CLO mappings or drafting a comment), the relevant text is sent to the AI provider selected by the administrator. Uploaded files are not sent wholesale, and AI features are never invoked automatically.
Your choices
You can delete any report you own from within the app, which removes its stored data. To delete your account entirely, or to ask what is held about you, contact us at the address below and we will action it.
